Parents- Stand Up To Them

1- Be On Guard With Your Parents

Be On Guard With Your Parents
Your parents (or your guardians) will never fail to remind you what they’ve done for you, like you should be lucky. The pattern you develop as a result is a set of reactions they have instilled in you because you have been made to feel, by them, that:
-You are to blame
-You have to fix it
-You have to be accommodating
-You have to make more effort
-You have to justify
-You have to put up with.
Being on guard with your parents means, that when you’re interacting with them, know they will try to pull you into feeling guilty and aim to resist all urges to react in your usual ways.
